Little Mr. "L"

This little guy has got an arm on him! We had a ball down by the creek: him throwing rocks in the water, and me snapping away!

Nicole & Robson

I had a great time shooting with these two, and the adorable little Hershey. I think my first time shooting on a golf course turned out rather well. Gunter's Landing is absolutely beautiful!

Alright, I’ll just come right out and say it: I’m cheap.

As you fill out your checkbook after a great photo shoot, many of you have told me that you feel you’re ripping me off. I have to say, I’m probably the only photographer around who hears that from her clients!
Pricing is one of the most difficult hurdles to cross when starting a photography business. I researched and researched pricing models, as well as took a look at what other photographers in the area are charging. As most of you have noticed, my prices are way below the norm.
When I first started this business, I was living with my mom and dad. I didn’t have bills to pay or groceries to worry about. My only concerns were putting gas in my car and having enough cash for a new camera lens or pair of cowboy boots. Now, I am on my own and in the real world. And the new boots are way at the bottom of my list of “gotta-haves.”
This is why I have decided that beginning July 1, 2010, the session fee will be $20, due at the time of your session. Before you freak out on me, keep in mind that if you’ll check around, just about every other photographer in this area charges $35 or more for the sitting fee. I am trying to make this my full-time job, and to do that I have to stay competitive. I assure you that what you come away with from one of our sessions is worth more than money. It’s all about the experience, the emotions, and the personality that make you a unique piece of art.
The session fee is the only change right now. All print and package prices will remain the same. However, I will be updating the list with more available sizes. I am also trying to compile a list of available specialty products to post on the website.
I just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has allowed me to be their photographer, even just once. You are literally making my dream come true. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. See ya through the lens real soon!

XOXOX

I was born country, and this country's what I love!

Today, I had a great shoot with a great family. Their photos are all about appreciating your heritage. We shot on location at their family property that had been damaged by the tornado a few weeks ago. It was very moving to see how much love they have for the past. We often get so caught up in day-to-day life that we forget to take time to appreciate where we come from. It was an honor to photograph such a great family history. I have to say, thank God I was born country!
