New Product: Painted Canvas Photo Art!

While we've all been snowed in the last few days, I had a little extra time to do something I love: painting. I also had time to think about some things. Looking between my blank canvas and the photographs hanging on my wall, an idea struck me. Why not combine the two art forms I love most? These pieces of painted canvas photo art were the result.

Right now, these canvases are available in two different sizes: 11x14 (as shown in the first image) and 16x20 (like the second image) with three different layouts available for each size. There are also two different background patterns to choose from (chevron or Moroccan), and an entire rainbow of colors. You can also personalize them with names, years, or (as shown above) simple words that describe the images, like "Love" or "Family".
All this sounds great right? But I know what your next question is: How much is this going to cost me? Photo canvases can be very pricey, but these definitely aren't! The most expensive one is only $40, and the least expensive is $19. You control how much you spend with your choices of size and layout. Let's break it down:
The first step in building your unique piece of art is choosing the size of your canvas (this also determines your price range). The base 16x20 canvas is $25, and the 11x4 is $15. These prices include the pattern, colors, and any personalization. Which brings us to step 2:
These background patterns can be as subtle or as bold as you like, depending on your color selection. For a subtle background (like the chevron one I showed you earlier), go with a light gray or pale pastel with white (or a two-tone, using a light and dark of the same pale color). For something more bold, just choose a brighter or darker color.
Now we've come to the part that determines your final price. Each canvas size has three different layouts to choose from. Each layout has its own price. For example, say you've chosen a 16x20 canvas, which is $25. You have chosen to go with Layout #2 for your images, which costs $15. So, the total price for your canvas is $40. It's as simple as that.

Each canvas size has three layouts to choose from. These layouts were designed based on what looks best on that size canvas. If you have certain images in mind, that might determine both the layout and the size of canvas you choose. I will be happy to talk with you about which images would look best at what sizes and layouts. We can also discuss whether you want the images all in color, in black and white, in the vintage finish, or a mixture. If you have any questions about anything at all, I will be glad to help you.
I hope you are as excited about this new product as I am! For a long while, I've really wanted to be able to give you all something fresh and new, but also something that wouldn't break the bank. All canvases are hand-painted by yours truly, unique to each of my wonderful clients. I really enjoyed creating these, and I can't wait to make more!

Winter Wonderland minis

For our first mini session event of the year, we created an indoor snow day! A simple white background and cotton ball snow strung from the ceiling created a mini winter wonderland. This is what happens when a Disney-loving photographer goes to see "Frozen" and comes back all kinds of inspired! I love the way these turned out and I hope you do too!
